A little angel was born in heaven and big boss named the angel “rainbow”. He is a cute little boy with brown eyes, black hair, and brown skin. Some angels asked big boss why he named him rainbow. Big boss told them it is a perfect name for a new born family member, it suits his personality. When rainbow is growing up as a little kid, everybody praise him because he would accomplish successfully every mission big boss gave him. Everybody likes him, not only because he is popular, friendly, and smart but a rare kind of angel with brown skin. One day big boss send rainbow to a mission, big boss expects rainbow to succeed and later on rainbow did not let big boss down, he have succeeded. Big boss is pleased.

One day, big boss saw something bad in earth, anywhere there seems to be terrible problems. There are Poverty, murders, wars, discrimination and many more. But this time it is worst. So he tried to look for someone to help him. While he walks along the puffy cloudy corridor of heaven, he saw rainbow alone sitting in a bench, writing something in a little notebook. He approach rainbow and ask him if what he is writing in his little notebook. Rainbow showed him a drawing, at first big boss can’t understand because it is messy and a drawing in black ink. Rainbow tried to explain every detail in his drawing. Big boss nod and was surprise to know, rainbow is trying to draw the planet earth. Big boss suddenly remembered he have to look for someone for help regarding the problem in earth. So he asks rainbow if he can help him with the problem in earth. Rainbow suggest that it would be better if we paint the earth with different colors to make it more like the heaven, so people will all be just happy. Big boss smiled and told his self this little angel is ten years old and he thinks rainbow doesn’t have enough knowledge about earth. Big boss tried to explain to rainbow that earth is already colorful there is no need to color it. He gave him pictures of colorful tourists’ spots in different parts of earth. Rainbow nod and look at him in the eyes while trying to smile, rainbow told him about his experience in one of his missions and wondered why there are many people with different skin colors and discrimination and why did his little Filipino friend told him “yung tito ko ang itim ng budhi!” this little Friend of rainbow is a boy, rainbow became this little boy’s guardian angel for seven years and now he died because of cancer. Rainbow tried not to cry but still a small little tear fall down from his left eye and roll down his cheek.

Big boss is sad; he shouldn’t have finish writing the life story of the little boy with a sad ending. Big boss tried to comfort him and bring him to the garden, they pass by a tree and big boss saw a cocoon of butterfly, he told rainbow that the cocoon is color brown and not very attractive but soon there will be transformation and there is something more beautiful inside. Rainbow’s eyes twinkled with gladness and said,

Yes! I saw a butterfly came out from a cocoon; it is so wonderful and so cute! But… what does it have to do with the colors I told you a while ago?

Big boss looks up and then hundreds of colorful butterflies came out from nowhere, this Makes rainbow chuckle and stare at the butterflies with feeling of gladness. Big boss told him,

You know people might have a bad attitude or what your little friend told you, maitim ang budhi? Am I Right?

Then Rainbow nod. Big boss continued saying,

Like the cocoon with no attractive color, soon it will transform to a very beautiful creature. People can change, there is still hope, and you know your little Friend told you maitim na budhi? It means bad attitude. When he died you know what happened to his uncle?

Rainbow didn’t answer and just look at big boss. Big boss told him; your friend’s uncle suffered from illness. He is greedy and boastful, and that is what your little friend told you always but what you didn’t know is that he has done something good to his cousin named crisostomo, he help him finish school before he died. You see every human have some goodness deep within them. Like the cocoon at first in a disguise, you just have to wait for the right time to see the real colors inside. It took some time before the butterfly will transform into a very fascinating creature. You just have to be patient.

Big boss taps rainbows shoulder and rainbow look at him and smiled, he told big boss; maybe we will just have to wait for every human beings to transform into something colorful like the butterflies up there.

He said pointing to the butterflies flying high in the sky. Big boss sigh and nod with a smile, he feel happy for making rainbow feel good again. A group of angels pass by and saw rainbow, they wave at him and invited him to a game of hide and seek. Rainbow ask for big boss permission if he can go now, big boss nod and smiled. Rainbow then hugs his friends and play with them. The garden is so full of laughter, so peaceful and so colorful. Big boss stands up and suddenly remembered a solution to the problem, with a snap of his fingers, millions of butterflies came to the new dawn on every part of the planet earth.
