Spider-man, trapped $7.5 million in late-night debut

Amazing as it is, "the ‘Spider-man’ franchise earned $7.5 million from screenings just after midnight on Tuesday", says Sony Pictures.
Reuters said, ‘Spider-man’ starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone matched the midnight sales of Sony’s last movie, ‘Spider-man 3,’ in 2007.
Sony Pictures shared that about $1.4 million of the new film's opening sales came from showings on giant Imax screens.
Moreover, the movie pulled in $50.2 million from the 13 countries across Asia over the past weekend.
